The food was excellent and served Hot. Our waitress was excellent she brought everything we needed. I will visit again.

Good food, I always order the cheese blinzes for pick up. But I am only leaving 2 stars, because many times my partner goes to pickup, and he is covered in tattoos but the friendliest person ever, and the elderly lady at the front counter is also SO rude to him but not like that to everyone else. It's VERY judgemental and turns us off. We have been here to eat many times too since we live right across the street. This has happened every time. We decided this is the last time we will be going here. He shouldn't have to deal with someone treating him so rudely for absolutely no reason. Sorry to everyone else that works here! But this women ruined it for us.

I love Grandma Sally's. The food is wonderful and the meals that my grandma and I get the most is bacon quesadilla and the Grandma burger club. And trust me, these meals are worth it and will fill you up.

The food is excellent, the lavatories, not so much. Please take care of your toilets to promote a healthy dining experience.

Go ahead and tell the world how you don’t want us Mexicans in your restaurant. In the three years we’ve visited the River Forest location, your staff treats us like pests! The people of color on your staff you speak of in your reply must be in the kitchen since i’ve never seen them wait tables. I’m tired of going to your restaurant and having my check arrive right after I order and BEFORE I get my food while no other white folk receive this treatment.

Our favorite place to get breakfast in Oak Park/River Forest! So many options on their menu and always delicious. I always get something different and look forward to going back the next time to try something else! There is usually a wait, especially on weekends, but it is not too long. They have excellent service and move very quick. You will also always have a cup full of coffee as they are continually coming around topping you off. The prices are unbeatable too, very reasonable for a delicious breakfast.

Worst service ever ! By the owner herself . Credit/debit card machine down. Tells me that she’s sorry but I need to leave my drivers license as collateral so I can go get cash. I do so. Hits me that as I’m driving I pray I don’t get pulled over as I don’t have a license . I come back to pay . I suggest that they put a cash only sign on the door. And she’s I’m not doing that. I say if she did it’s great customer service. She says no because the machine being down isn’t her fault. I tell her I didn’t say it was your fault . She then tells me she’s not going to give me a free meal. I will never visit an establishment that treats their patrons like she did . Never coming here again.

As the name suggests, it's feels like grandma's place where we are treated like family. This place has always been on my go-to list. From the food to service, everything is warm. If you like pancakes, this is the place to go try some really good ones. It doesn't even put a hole in your pocket either. Definitely worth the money, the experience is one that will keep taking you back there.

I've been here several times and have yet to come across a complaint. Food is delicious and service is always great. My son loves the chocolate chip pancakes and I enjoyed the crepes. I have also tried the bacon waffle....my oh my! Worth the extra caloric intake. 😊

Dependable. We've been a few times and they have a nice menu with a lot of options. Sometimes hard to find a place to accommodate all of the dietary restrictions we have to work around. Decor is straight out of the 80's, but that makes it better as it is exactly how I remember it being from when we'd go as kids in the 90's.

I used to go to Grandma Sally's back when I lived in the area, always thought it was good! Today I was back in the River forest area and decided to bring my family in.... food is still good for the type of restaurant it is!! something that I did notice though was the new management that is in place. Being in the restaurant business myself I notice things like that. Paul was a very attentive to the restaurant, staff and to the customers. It was obvious to see that the restaurant is being run a lot better. It just so happen there was a table next to us that visibly was upset about something and I watched Paul go over and by the time he left the entire table looked to be laughing and having a good time. in my experience that is one of the traits of a great management!! so to the owner or Grandma Sally's great restaurant and awesome management

I've always loved this place. Food & service is great. One of my fav for pancakes. But the entrance needs a good cleaning. Doesn't look to inviting.

My family loves this place for breakfast. We usually show up with a medium-sized party with kids and the wait is rarely longer than 15 minutes (before 10am). I've always had great service, and the food is consistently good and fast.

Delicious breakfast with any combo you could want! No hesitation to accommodate a request and the food was fresh and fast. You can't beat the extremely friendly service and clean atmosphere, well worth adding to your breakfast list!

Truly delightful. Exactly what I want in a family style diner. Comfort food that’s made well and served with a smile. Our server was Cathy I believe and she was so friendly, welcoming and happy to give recommendations. The apple pancakes are a sight to behold and heaven to consume. A new favorite breakfast gem.

Food was good. Service was terrible. The waitress was no where to be found. She only took our order and dropped the food off. I had to ask the lady at the register for help before she told the waitress to assist us. I have heard of this place not liking brown people and it has now been confirmed after the terrible service I have had there. Will definitely tell people to not dine here.

Since my fiancé first took me to Grandma Sally’s I’ve been hooked on their excellent service, friendliness, savoring delicious food! We actually celebrated getting our marriage license yesterday 01/31/19.
